- Click on the ‘VoIP settings’ button and under ‘SIP Configuration’ select ‘Server Configuration’. Here are the main server configuration settings you need to specify:
SIP Server
Server FQDN: Enabled
Domain Name: sip.2talk.co.nz
Port: 5060
Secondary Server FQDN: Disabled
Outbound Proxy State: Enabled
Outbound Proxy FQDN: Disabled
Outbound Proxy IP Address: 202.180.76.161
Outbound Proxy Domain Name: sip.2talk.co.nz
Outbound Proxy Port: 5060
Register Expiration: 600
Codec Priority: 1st. G.729a, 2nd. G711 a-law, 3rd. G711 u-law (G.726 unused)
- Next click on ‘User Agent’ under the ‘SIP Configuration’ settings. Here are the main user agent settings you need to specify:
Same Phone Number: Disabled (Enabled if you only have 1 phone/number to configure)
Index: 1/2 (Depending on which line you want to configure)
Phone Number: <your 2talk phone number e.g. 028890000>
Display Name: <Your Name>
User Agent Port: 5060
Authentication Username: <your 2talk phone number e.g. 028890000>
Password: <your 2talk password>
Retype Password: <your 2talk password>
- Next click on ‘Telephony’ under the ‘SIP Configuration’ settings. Here are the main user agent settings you need to specify:
Index: 1 and 2 (Configure both lines as follows)
DTMF Method: RFC2833
Payload Type: 101
VAD: Disabled
You may also specify STUN settings to host stun.2talk.co.nz (port 3478) - if you wish but these should not be required. If you wish to configure one of your lines as a fax line then you should change all your Domain Names/Proxy Domain Names from’sip.2talk.co.nz’ to ‘fax.2talk.co.nz’ (and IP address from 27.111.14.65 to 27.111.14.69). You should also set your DTMF Method to ‘inline’ for fax lines.
