The 2talkPhone v2.1 is crammed full of features including:
- Voice calling with support for multiple codecs
- Video calling with variable quality selection (Webcam required), full screen mode, detached mode and more!
- Conferencing (3 way calling) support - including for Video calls
- Chat Support for multiple Instant Messenger networks (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, GoogleTalk, AIM, Jabber)
- SMS support in both directions. User can send TXT’s (20c per SMS) and also receive them in their SMS folder in 2talk Live!
- Phone now shows realtime available airtime credit on your account!
- Message Waiting Indicator (Phone shows the number of new voicemails in main window)
- SMS Waiting Indicator (Phone shows the number of new SMS’s received in main window)
- Integration of IM contacts and phone numbers into single contact entries
- Phone now pre-authenticates to 2talk Live website for all web options including; easy one-click to ‘Buy Airtime’, ‘Plans and Services’, ‘Phone Settings’, ‘Call Records’, ‘Check SMSs’ and ‘Check Voicemail’
- Click to Dial Functionality via the 2talk Live Web site contact list
- Access to all of 2talk’s rich features including Voicemail, call transfers and much more…
And, we are not going to stop there. In the next release we plan to integrate 2talkPhone contacts with online contacts and much more. We also plan to release a version of the 2talkPhone for Apple Mac and Linux users.

Signing In to the 2talkPhone
When you first start-up the 2talkPhone you will be prompted to enter your account details. Simply enter:
Connection Name: 2talk (or the name you wish to give your connection profile)
Phone Number: <your phone number> (e.g. 028890000)
Password: <your 2talk password>
Your Name: <your name> (e.g. John Smith)
And thats it, your phone should connect and you can start making phone calls over 2talk! You do not need to change any of the settings under ‘Advanced Settings’.
